Therapy can help.
The infertility diagnosis and the treatments that come along with it are not just physically draining but can be emotionally devastating.
If you are struggling to come to terms with having to use a donor and thereby losing that genetic connection, I can help.
If you are struggling to come to terms with having to use a surrogate and thereby losing the experience and bonding via pregnancy, I can help.
If you are unsure if you should disclose this information to people around you, I can help.
If you don’t know how or when to tell your child, I can help.
If you are simply lost and are under pressure to make decisions regarding your future family, I can help.
You can come together, or you can come alone.
You can tell me how you are really feeling and what you really want. If you are feeling depressed, anxious, angry, or pessimistic about your fertility challenges, you are not alone.
Together, we will navigate the emotional challenges that come with fertility issues and create a plan of action to get you moving forward and finally find peace within yourself to get to a place of acceptance.
We will prepare for the possible different fertility treatment outcomes, such as multiple births, pregnancy loss, or treatment failure.
This is more than a nice chat over tea.
There are theoretical frameworks supporting the work we’ll do. Using Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy as our framework, we will work on restructuring any biased or unhelpful ways of thinking that are blocking you from moving forward.
You will learn specific strategies, tools, and mind-body techniques to help you learn better ways of coping with your fertility challenges, thereby relieving symptoms and becoming more effective and resilient in your life.
I will assist with developing coping and problem-solving skills and teach you how to work through the emotions of grief, fear, anger, and others during this journey.
You don’t have to do this alone.
Because of my specialized training in reproductive psychology, and my own personal experience, you don’t have to spend time explaining the details, I know the details. But I also understand that everyone has their own unique path to parenthood. Therefore your therapy sessions will be designed to meet you where you are now.
Fertility comes with its own unique challenges, which is why I offer a free 20-minute consultation. You can tell me your story, and I will let you know how I can help.
